Sub Section 48:6:26 says:

Even on Urantia, these seraphim teach the everlasting truth: If your own mind does not serve you well, you can exchange it for the mind of Jesus of Nazareth, who always serves you well.

Conceptually, they are probably talking about the spirit of truth and then implementing the "What Would Jesus Do" methodology. But maybe there's more to it? Often times, my mind does not serve me well. I tried to exchange it, but alas, it was still mine :). Maybe I don't know the technique and fail in the practice?

What are your thoughts?

"Alas"...indeed!!

I have the same results.

However, if I can calm myself and center my focus on being, sharing, and caring...my prayers are often rewarded by assurance, if not understanding ...hahaha!

Brilliant insights and solutions remain elusive.

Perhaps I am dense...as has been suggested to me more than once!

Thanks Sammy. I have always been fascinated by the same quote!

I try this, too, and have many times over the years - most often when there is some conflict or other distress happening. In my experience, it is a matter of making that choice to exchange my mind for the mind of Jesus, and then just (mentally) get out of the way and going on with whatever is happening. Over time, things begin to improve without my having to "effort" about it, or meaaure it in some way.

Maybe it's an example of "the act is ours, the consequences are God's." Maybe just the desire and decision to raise our thoughts is enough to make a difference. The Spirit of Truth must surely register this request somehow.

Just my impressions...

It would be worth unpacking what “my mind,” could mean on some abstract level. Given that we are seeking truth, beauty, and goodness, there are innate Transpersonal divine values that inform the hierarchy of your internal value structure when meekly and gracefully serving our ascension career in this strange realm of space and time. These values are all informed by the ideal of the Father, through his characteristics; the likes of which The Master personified and lived by without fail. Ultimately, these ideals are more Real than “Your Mind” is. Anytime we encounter a positive moral action, would this not technically be a move that is of the mind of Jesus? My bottom line on this astounding concept is that we’ve been using the mind of The Master all along and it is only a slight action of being consciously aware of the nature of our deployment of this divine trust and endowment that we as Sons of God have been given the ability to lean on and follow faithfully much like Children.
