After studying the book for 3 years I came to the conclusion that the Urantia Book is not a revelation and I proceed to explain why:

The mark of the best is not 666
1. Many book readers teach that the mark of the beast (666) was the number of our planet in the registers and that John only registered the last 3 digits because it was long number.

The facts : The number of the beast is 616, not 666. There was a copying error. The oldest manuals on the Book of Revelation that were recently found dating from the end of the 3rd century give 616 and not 666. The first Christians used numbers to hide the identity of the people they attacked: 616 refers to the emperor Caligula.

The Urantia book follows Christian theology on Yahweh
2. The Urantia Book has a vision very compact with the Christian theology. The Bible is not a theology manual but it was interpreted this way by Jewish theologians on later centuries with the Septuagint and by Christian theologians with the translation of the Bible into Latin. The Bible says that Yahweh is a man of war (ish milchamah) (Exodus 15:3) and he was unable to save the Israelite because their opponents had cars made of bronze. The Urantia book says that Yahweh was a volcano god but I go further than that. Yahweh was from the serpentine race it is not a coincidence that he is represented as a dragon. He was a extraterrestrial being one of the Elohim race.

The Urantia Book gives a mistaken interpretation of Elohim
3. The Urantia Book says that Elohim is an ancient Babylonian doctrine of the Trinity.(96:1.8 (1053.6)) This is a claim that the book makes without any basis and it is original to the book. As the Bible explains, it is interpreted literally that the Elohim are beings of flesh and bones like you and me. When King Saul asks the woman what she is looking at, she says that she is looking at the Elohim rising from the earth (1 Samuel 28:14). Psalm 82 also talks about the Elohim and how rule poorly and they also are mortal like the Adamites. Among many other passages in the Bible that mentions the Elohim are several not only Yahweh, but also Gad,Milcom,Baal,Dagom ect and they received the humans as inheritance :

"When El Elyon gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel. For Yahweh's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance. Deuteronomy 32:8-9

The Urantia Book is wrong in giving a wrong interpretation to biblical terms such as El Shaddai, El Elyon , Elohim, Yahweh following Christian theological interpretations of the same .

The Urantia book revelation did not finish in the1930s

4. I could see that many readers say that the revelators ended the revelation in the end of the 1930s but asked to publish the book only after the great struggle ahead. This cannot be true since it was found in the same Urantia Book quotations from other books from the 1940s and 1950s that were added afterwards.

I could enumerate many other mistakes and inconsistencies when presented with many ideas from the book. I came to the conclusion that the book has many good information in many aspect but fails to reach the peak of truthiness that it aims. I believe that dirty hands added things to the book that were not part of the original manuscripts. Still I regard the book as a good intellectual reading despite the mistakes it does.

Hi ketsune23,

Sounds like you've invested real effort this study!

From experience, I've found that "many book readers" (myself included) tend to retain at least a few preconceptions.

Regarding various Urantia Book statements or ideas appearing to be echoed in "other books from the 1940s and 1950s", given that the University of Chicago was a center for much academic ferment during those times, have you considered the possibility that pre-publication discussion of the 1934-35 papers was the source for some of this ferment?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hmmm....an interesting (if inaccurate) claim. The Papers actually teach that there is no so-called "mark of the beast". Neither is there a "beast" at all. No original sin. No sins of our fathers to atone for. No antichrist either. No Armageddon. No hell. None of that.

What the Papers say is:

49:0.3 (559.3) Satania itself is an unfinished system containing only 619 inhabited worlds. Such planets are numbered serially in accordance with their registration as inhabited worlds, as worlds inhabited by will creatures. Thus was Urantia given the number 606 of Satania, meaning the 606th world in this local system on which the long evolutionary life process culminated in the appearance of human beings. There are thirty-six uninhabited planets nearing the life-endowment stage, and several are now being made ready for the Life Carriers. There are nearly two hundred spheres which are evolving so as to be ready for life implantation within the next few million years.

Me here: So....your post here on December 31, 2020 (link included below) declared your rejection of the Christian Bible and your initial disappointment with the UB related to your early misimpression and claim that the UB somehow is a Biblical confirmation or affirmation (certainly not the case by any measure or degree).

https://forum.truthbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5867

Now you present yourself here as a Biblical scholar who appears to believe some Biblical source materials (But which ones? And why those?) and now seem perturbed that the UB does not conform to or confirm the Bible. You now seem to be promoting your personal beliefs in and Biblical presentations of original sin, hell-fire, and the end of Days theologies promoted by Christian doctrines.(???)

You also claim to have a very specific and rather esoteric 'knowledge' about aliens-as-gods (without reference or citation) for which you have not found confirmation of in the UB, somehow reaching the conclusion and now claim of the UB's 'inaccuracy'.
[/i]
A peculiar portrayal of a very specific and subjective reality perspective and personal beliefs.

No UB students are asked or coerced to believe the contents or perspective of the Papers. But it should be easy and simple enough to agree as to its actual contents I think.

I also think the UB has, as usual, failed to confirm or affirm your personal beliefs and understanding and universe reality perspective. This conflict with our personal preconceptions and misperceptions and/or misunderstanding or misinterpretation (or prejudices) is always disconcerting and unsettling for students of the Urantia Papers - actually a common enough obstacle for all truthseekers in the pursuitof understanding and reality perspective - enlightenment.

Truth seekers must be able to face conflict, conundrum, paradox, and apparent contradiction, and overcome personal attachment to prior beliefs and understanding.

An important teaching from the UB is that it is our faith, and not our understanding or beliefs or knowledge, that delivers true religious experience and progress, and teaches us that ignorance and false beliefs and that limited or distorted and completely wrong/inaccurate perspective does not and cannot prevent Divine Assurance from our Deity Connections.

"The UB is not a revelation" is an unfortunate choice of title ketsune23.

It is a personal opinion presented as a declaration of fact. But the declaration is not a fact, regardless of the confidence with which it is declared. Truly, it is as meaningless and valueless and irrelevant as some other mortal declaring that "The UB Is An Epochal Revelation".

The UB does claim this for itself. Many UB readers and students have come to believe those claims. Others have not. The purpose of Truthbook is to discover, share, and study what the Papers say.... not to tell anyone what they should or should not believe.

The very title of this topic contradicts the purpose and Guidelines of Truthbook and this community...in my opinion. Beyond skeptical really.

We now know your opinion on the matter.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elohim

The link above disputes your declarations here regarding "Elohim". Really, just a modicum of research and fact checking reveals how common is the knowledge of the history and traditions of this term and its origins regarding Babylon and the Trinity or related plurality of Deity.

Your current claims positing the accuracy of the Bible is puzzling to me, considering your prior public rejection of that source material your first year here.(?)

For example, you wrote: "Hi everyone,

Hmmm....perhaps a recent conversion or reversion??

I look forward to that. Both the "mistakes", and the "inconsistencies" (especially those!!)

Please share. Hoping for better references and research on future posts. Please cite specific sources and quotes, please post that text you find inconsistent within the Papers. So far, in 50+ years of study I'm still waiting for that first such inconsistency you claim to be so common.

Thanks.

8)

I wish you all the best in your truth seeking. It is my hope humility presently (or eventually) accompanies your great confidence in your own beliefs and understanding and knowledge.

You know what they say about ignorance and prejudice: the greatest obstacles to growth. Speaking of "inconsistencies", it would appear you have regained that theological and doctrinal certitude that eluded you when you first arrived at Truthbook.

Good luck with that!

159:4.9 (1768.5) “But the greatest error of the teaching about the Scriptures is the doctrine of their being sealed books of mystery and wisdom which only the wise minds of the nation dare to interpret. The revelations of divine truth are not sealed except by human ignorance, bigotry, and narrow-minded intolerance. The light of the Scriptures is only dimmed by prejudice and darkened by superstition. A false fear of sacredness has prevented religion from being safeguarded by common sense. The fear of the authority of the sacred writings of the past effectively prevents the honest souls of today from accepting the new light of the gospel, the light which these very God-knowing men of another generation so intensely longed to see....

The Urantia Papers teach:

3. The Nature of Evolutionary Religion
92:3.1 (1005.3) The study of human religion is the examination of the fossil-bearing social strata of past ages. The mores of the anthropomorphic gods are a truthful reflection of the morals of the men who first conceived such deities. Ancient religions and mythology faithfully portray the beliefs and traditions of peoples long since lost in obscurity. These olden cult practices persist alongside newer economic customs and social evolutions and, of course, appear grossly inconsistent. The remnants of the cult present a true picture of the racial religions of the past. Always remember, the cults are formed, not to discover truth, but rather to promulgate their creeds.

92:3.2 (1005.4) Religion has always been largely a matter of rites, rituals, observances, ceremonies, and dogmas. It has usually become tainted with that persistently mischief-making error, the chosen-people delusion. The cardinal religious ideas of incantation, inspiration, revelation, propitiation, repentance, atonement, intercession, sacrifice, prayer, confession, worship, survival after death, sacrament, ritual, ransom, salvation, redemption, covenant, uncleanness, purification, prophecy, original sin—they all go back to the early times of primordial ghost fear.

92:3.3 (1005.5) Primitive religion is nothing more nor less than the struggle for material existence extended to embrace existence beyond the grave. The observances of such a creed represented the extension of the self-maintenance struggle into the domain of an imagined ghost-spirit world. But when tempted to criticize evolutionary religion, be careful. Remember, that is what happened; it is a historical fact. And further recall that the power of any idea lies, not in its certainty or truth, but rather in the vividness of its human appeal.

92:3.4 (1006.1) Evolutionary religion makes no provision for change or revision; unlike science, it does not provide for its own progressive correction. Evolved religion commands respect because its followers believe it is The Truth; “the faith once delivered to the saints” must, in theory, be both final and infallible. The cult resists development because real progress is certain to modify or destroy the cult itself; therefore must revision always be forced upon it.

92:3.5 (1006.2) Only two influences can modify and uplift the dogmas of natural religion: the pressure of the slowly advancing mores and the periodic illumination of epochal revelation. And it is not strange that progress was slow; in ancient days, to be progressive or inventive meant to be killed as a sorcerer. The cult advances slowly in generation epochs and agelong cycles. But it does move forward. Evolutionary belief in ghosts laid the foundation for a philosophy of revealed religion which will eventually destroy the superstition of its origin.

92:3.6 (1006.3) Religion has handicapped social development in many ways, but without religion there would have been no enduring morality nor ethics, no worth-while civilization. Religion enmothered much nonreligious culture: Sculpture originated in idol making, architecture in temple building, poetry in incantations, music in worship chants, drama in the acting for spirit guidance, and dancing in the seasonal worship festivals.

92:3.7 (1006.4) But while calling attention to the fact that religion was essential to the development and preservation of civilization, it should be recorded that natural religion has also done much to cripple and handicap the very civilization which it otherwise fostered and maintained. Religion has hampered industrial activities and economic development; it has been wasteful of labor and has squandered capital; it has not always been helpful to the family; it has not adequately fostered peace and good will; it has sometimes neglected education and retarded science; it has unduly impoverished life for the pretended enrichment of death. Evolutionary religion, human religion, has indeed been guilty of all these and many more mistakes, errors, and blunders; nevertheless, it did maintain cultural ethics, civilized morality, and social coherence, and made it possible for later revealed religion to compensate for these many evolutionary shortcomings.

92:3.8 (1006.5) Evolutionary religion has been man’s most expensive but incomparably effective institution. Human religion can be justified only in the light of evolutionary civilization. If man were not the ascendant product of animal evolution, then would such a course of religious development stand without justification.

92:3.9 (1006.6) Religion facilitated the accumulation of capital; it fostered work of certain kinds; the leisure of the priests promoted art and knowledge; the race, in the end, gained much as a result of all these early errors in ethical technique. The shamans, honest and dishonest, were terribly expensive, but they were worth all they cost. The learned professions and science itself emerged from the parasitical priesthoods. Religion fostered civilization and provided societal continuity; it has been the moral police force of all time. Religion provided that human discipline and self-control which made wisdom possible. Religion is the efficient scourge of evolution which ruthlessly drives indolent and suffering humanity from its natural state of intellectual inertia forward and upward to the higher levels of reason and wisdom.

92:3.10 (1006.7) And this sacred heritage of animal ascent, evolutionary religion, must ever continue to be refined and ennobled by the continuous censorship of revealed religion and by the fiery furnace of genuine science.

4. The Gift of Revelation
92:4.1 (1007.1) Revelation is evolutionary but always progressive. Down through the ages of a world’s history, the revelations of religion are ever-expanding and successively more enlightening. It is the mission of revelation to sort and censor the successive religions of evolution. But if revelation is to exalt and upstep the religions of evolution, then must such divine visitations portray teachings which are not too far removed from the thought and reactions of the age in which they are presented. Thus must and does revelation always keep in touch with evolution. Always must the religion of revelation be limited by man’s capacity of receptivity.

92:4.2 (1007.2) But regardless of apparent connection or derivation, the religions of revelation are always characterized by a belief in some Deity of final value and in some concept of the survival of personality identity after death.

92:4.3 (1007.3) Evolutionary religion is sentimental, not logical. It is man’s reaction to belief in a hypothetical ghost-spirit world—the human belief-reflex, excited by the realization and fear of the unknown. Revelatory religion is propounded by the real spiritual world; it is the response of the superintellectual cosmos to the mortal hunger to believe in, and depend upon, the universal Deities. Evolutionary religion pictures the circuitous gropings of humanity in quest of truth; revelatory religion is that very truth.

92:4.4 (1007.4) There have been many events of religious revelation but only five of epochal significance. These were as follows:

92:4.5 (1007.5) 1. The Dalamatian teachings. The true concept of the First Source and Center was first promulgated on Urantia by the one hundred corporeal members of Prince Caligastia’s staff. This expanding revelation of Deity went on for more than three hundred thousand years until it was suddenly terminated by the planetary secession and the disruption of the teaching regime. Except for the work of Van, the influence of the Dalamatian revelation was practically lost to the whole world. Even the Nodites had forgotten this truth by the time of Adam’s arrival. Of all who received the teachings of the one hundred, the red men held them longest, but the idea of the Great Spirit was but a hazy concept in Amerindian religion when contact with Christianity greatly clarified and strengthened it.

92:4.6 (1007.6) 2. The Edenic teachings. Adam and Eve again portrayed the concept of the Father of all to the evolutionary peoples. The disruption of the first Eden halted the course of the Adamic revelation before it had ever fully started. But the aborted teachings of Adam were carried on by the Sethite priests, and some of these truths have never been entirely lost to the world. The entire trend of Levantine religious evolution was modified by the teachings of the Sethites. But by 2500 b.c. mankind had largely lost sight of the revelation sponsored in the days of Eden.

92:4.7 (1007.7) 3. Melchizedek of Salem. This emergency Son of Nebadon inaugurated the third revelation of truth on Urantia. The cardinal precepts of his teachings were trust and faith. He taught trust in the omnipotent beneficence of God and proclaimed that faith was the act by which men earned God’s favor. His teachings gradually commingled with the beliefs and practices of various evolutionary religions and finally developed into those theologic systems present on Urantia at the opening of the first millennium after Christ.

92:4.8 (1008.1) 4. Jesus of Nazareth. Christ Michael presented for the fourth time to Urantia the concept of God as the Universal Father, and this teaching has generally persisted ever since. The essence of his teaching was love and service, the loving worship which a creature son voluntarily gives in recognition of, and response to, the loving ministry of God his Father; the freewill service which such creature sons bestow upon their brethren in the joyous realization that in this service they are likewise serving God the Father.

92:4.9 (1008.2) 5. The Urantia Papers. The papers, of which this is one, constitute the most recent presentation of truth to the mortals of Urantia. These papers differ from all previous revelations, for they are not the work of a single universe personality but a composite presentation by many beings. But no revelation short of the attainment of the Universal Father can ever be complete. All other celestial ministrations are no more than partial, transient, and practically adapted to local conditions in time and space. While such admissions as this may possibly detract from the immediate force and authority of all revelations, the time has arrived on Urantia when it is advisable to make such frank statements, even at the risk of weakening the future influence and authority of this, the most recent of the revelations of truth to the mortal races of Urantia.

8)

The UB teaches that personal and social religious progress is primarily a function of 3 elements: the personal faith experience delivered by our Deity Connections, and our personal revelations, also delivered by those Deity Connections, and by Epochal Revelation. Personal revelation is to and for the each (individually); and Epochal Revelation is to and for the all (but also for the benefit of each member of the 'all').

I wonder what happened in your discovery adventure ketsune23??

From earlier posts of yours:

ketsune23 wrote:
Hi everyone,
I left Christianity and the Bible +- 3 years ago and I follow deism until someone introduced me to the UB last year. I've been reading the UB for some time but I can't understand why the UB quotes or tries to correct the stories of the Bible? This is a huge disappointment for me since I reject the Bible and I do not feel comfortable when the UB quotes the Bible (it only quotes the Bible, not any other holy book) or uses some of its "heroes". Nowhere the UB quotes the Quran, the Vedas or any other holy book but just the Bible, and I have a BIG BIG problem with that the Bible is a book full of fairy tales and fantasy stories. The UB has great cosmology but why spoil it with the Bible stories? IF the Urantia Book is a WORLDWIDE revelation to EVERY human being on this planet it should avoid so much Bible and be more EQUAL or not quoting the Bible at all. A person who has Buddhism or Hinduism as their background would NEVER accept the Urantia Book teachings because it is too much "Jewish\Christian" and most of them probably NEVER read the Bible at all to understand who is Abraham or Moses or any other biblical character quoted in the UB much less the corrections it makes to the Jewish stories. I want to believe the UB but some things are just ridiculous to me. I give you an example: Why the UB tries to explain the origin of the Shabbat if perhaps 99% of the people in the world never kept the Shabbat in their lives??? I see here the touch of Saddler's Adventism. I was an Adventist too and the way the book explains the origin of Shabbat is the same way the Seventh Day Adventist Church prophet which by coincidence was Saddler's friend explains it. I feel that the UB is more of a Western creation or to the Western world than a WORLDWIDE revelation as it claims."

Bradly here: Hmmm....there are thousands of quotes and a collection of humanity's highest concepts presented in the UB....from many religious texts and teachings too! It is simple falsehood to claim that only the Bible is quoted...nonsense! Untrue. A simple lack of knowledge on your part I think. All doctrines of all religions which require certain beliefs or behaviors or ceremonies or priests are shown to be lacking...all of them. It is not ritual or beliefs that delivers spiritual progress. The Jewish sabbath is not taught nor recommended to anyone by the UB and no rituals or superstitions are presented as helpful...they are merely explained in an evolutionary context.

I understand your skepticism of and disappointment with the Bible and the Christian denial of science and the obvious fact of geological and astronomical time frames (and so many other realities denied in the church of my youth). I too found the Bible a poor source for inspiration and credible history. And the church preached fear of an angry and blood thirsty God. Only beliefs and behaviors "saved" us from eternal suffering no matter our ignorance or intentions. Wow.

But, as someone who abandoned Christianity and discovered the Jesusonian Gospel while embracing Taoism and Zen, I am a little confused why any Eastern religionist or any student of any philosophy would be offended by the UB. Indeed, it is so very Eastern...as was the Master himself. The beauty of learning by paradox and koan. Balance and harmony. The dual nature of humanity. The connection to both spirit and material and the great I AM presence within. The WAY of being and becoming. Satori and Nirvana. Karma. Again...your claims lack truth and display ignorance (lack of knowledge).

The UB is the story of social and religious evolution and begins long before Judaism or Christianity and merely places them in historical and evolutionary context. Have you read Papers 89 or 94? Or the description and study of the World's Religions - Paper 131?

I hope you will forgive my skepticism of your skepticism. But your claims about the UB do not reflect my experience or understanding at all.

Perhaps a full reading might help with your perspective and understanding? I think so. And hope you will take the time to more fully explore and examine this amazing story of our world and universe realities!!

I have found the UB to be a compelling and inspiring view of time and creation and source and destiny and purpose. It really helped me gain context and perspective that has helped me in very practical ways. The UB offers teachings and methods for a progressive and experiential wisdom that leads to a personal peace and trust as I face the uncertainties and vicissitudes of daily life!

Best wishes!

Bradly

The UB authors disagree with your claim that Hindus and Buddhists do not and would not relate to the Gospel of the Universe...the Fatherhood of God and the Family of humanity. God's friendly universe and Divine Affection is a universal teaching that is appreciated by all who embrace it!!

94:4.8 (1031.9) While Hinduism has long failed to vivify the Indian people, at the same time it has usually been a tolerant religion. Its great strength lies in the fact that it has proved to be the most adaptive, amorphic religion to appear on Urantia. It is capable of almost unlimited change and possesses an unusual range of flexible adjustment from the high and semimonotheistic speculations of the intellectual Brahman to the arrant fetishism and primitive cult practices of the debased and depressed classes of ignorant believers.

94:4.9 (1032.1) Hinduism has survived because it is essentially an integral part of the basic social fabric of India. It has no great hierarchy which can be disturbed or destroyed; it is interwoven into the life pattern of the people. It has an adaptability to changing conditions that excels all other cults, and it displays a tolerant attitude of adoption toward many other religions, Gautama Buddha and even Christ himself being claimed as incarnations of Vishnu.

94:4.10 (1032.2) Today, in India, the great need is for the portrayal of the Jesusonian gospel—the Fatherhood of God and the sonship and consequent brotherhood of all men, which is personally realized in loving ministry and social service. In India the philosophical framework is existent, the cult structure is present; all that is needed is the vitalizing spark of the dynamic love portrayed in the original gospel of the Son of Man, divested of the Occidental dogmas and doctrines which have tended to make Michael’s life bestowal a white man’s religion.

94:9.6 (1038.4) Buddhism is a living, growing religion today because it succeeds in conserving many of the highest moral values of its adherents. It promotes calmness and self-control, augments serenity and happiness, and does much to prevent sorrow and mourning. Those who believe this philosophy live better lives than many who do not.

94:12.4 (1041.2) The great strength of Buddhism is that its adherents are free to choose truth from all religions; such freedom of choice has seldom characterized a Urantian faith. In this respect the Shin sect of Japan has become one of the most progressive religious groups in the world; it has revived the ancient missionary spirit of Gautama’s followers and has begun to send teachers to other peoples. This willingness to appropriate truth from any and all sources is indeed a commendable tendency to appear among religious believers during the first half of the twentieth century after Christ.

94:12.5 (1041.3) Buddhism itself is undergoing a twentieth-century renaissance. Through contact with Christianity the social aspects of Buddhism have been greatly enhanced. The desire to learn has been rekindled in the hearts of the monk priests of the brotherhood, and the spread of education throughout this faith will be certainly provocative of new advances in religious evolution.

94:12.6 (1041.4) At the time of this writing, much of Asia rests its hope in Buddhism. Will this noble faith, that has so valiantly carried on through the dark ages of the past, once again receive the truth of expanded cosmic realities even as the disciples of the great teacher in India once listened to his proclamation of new truth? Will this ancient faith respond once more to the invigorating stimulus of the presentation of new concepts of God and the Absolute for which it has so long searched?

94:12.7 (1041.5) All Urantia is waiting for the proclamation of the ennobling message of Michael, unencumbered by the accumulated doctrines and dogmas of nineteen centuries of contact with the religions of evolutionary origin. The hour is striking for presenting to Buddhism, to Christianity, to Hinduism, even to the peoples of all faiths, not the gospel about Jesus, but the living, spiritual reality of the gospel of Jesus.

Me here: There are so many different angles and approaches and perspectives of reality that the UB appeals to: scientific, historical, evolution of species, atomic and astronomy, mass and motion and vector and velocity physics, biology, social, religious, etc. To declare that anyone would be unable to relate to the UB is to ignore the totality of its presentations and the balance and harmony it so exquisitely presents.

Did you know that the Jesusonian Gospel is the Gospel of all Nebadon? It has been repeated on Urantia upon every single Epochal Revelation and on every world and to every being on every world in our universe!!

It is a gospel believed or taught in some form by every monotheistic religion and many others considered pagan by some. Even barbarians and children know this gospel as it is whispered by the small still voice within! Although Christianity and all evolutionary religions offer distortions and primitive superstitions in their creeds and doctrines, we are told that the Gospel OF Jesus is alive and growing in effect and will rule our world in time to come!

God is good. God is great. God loves all people as his children. We are all one family in a friendly universe. That is the universal Gospel. The Jesusonian Gospel. The good news of personal salvation, resurrection, and eternal adventure! The Gospel of hope, love, and universal brotherhood.

I was so pleased to read this post ketsune23!!!

Glad you stuck with your discovery and studies of the Papers. You have probably found much about the UB which contrasts definitively with the Bible regarding the history of our world and evolutionary progress.

If you have questions about the UB text or would like to discuss the comparative analysis of the UB with the Bible or any other religious or philosophy text, please feel free to post those.

Best wishes!!

I just want to say that I am aware of all the replies and that I want to read carefully each one of them and give a fair reply. It will take time.

ketsune23 - please take all the time you need. Honest examination and vigorous analysis and thoughtful reflection never interferes with truth seeking or religious growth or science or our understanding and appreciation of universe reality.

No need to defend your doubts or skepticism about the claims of the authors of the Papers regarding Epochal Revelation. Belief or disbelief are personal and subjective no matter the issue under consideration.

But I am hopeful we might consider the actual contents of the UB regarding the many issues you raise above which conflict with or contradicts its own contents (those " inconsistencies" you claim are so frequent and apparent).

The Papers certainly offer much which so often conflicts with and contradicts the reader's personal beliefs, opinions, perception, perspectives, and prejudices!

Going forward, please offer your beliefs and opinions as such. Beliefs and opinions are not facts and should not be declared as other than opinions. Thank you.

Personally, over time and much study, I have come to appreciate the grandness and intricacies and harmony and integration of so many truths and realities and previous paradoxes within my own philosophy of living and religious experience presented in the Urantia Papers. But it definitely took time to reconcile my prior conceptual reality perspective to that presented in the UB.

Best wishes to you in your own religious journey on the Path to Paradise!! I look forward to hearing more from you here!
