Dear TruthBook Family,

Now that Fall is settling in, we pray that you and your friends and families are well and happy as you continue to walk with God on our lovely planet, Urantia.

We are pleased to announce another in our continuing series of Jesus paintings - paintings that depict scenes from Jesus' life as revealed through the pages of The Urantia Book. This privately commissioned, owned, and funded collection has been made freely available to TruthBook.

This new painting The Master Teacher, measuring 30” by 40”, was created by one of America’s finest artists. This beautiful rendition portrays the firelight scene at the private camp near Gethsemane. You see Jesus instructing his apostles and followers about using their God-given talents when he is no longer on Earth. You can almost feel the warmth of the crackling campfire as you view Jesus and his associates gathered in a circle around its cheerful light. All of those present are hanging on his every word, taking them to heart. His message to them - and to us - should also warm our hearts and inspire us to do our very best with our own "talents" as we sojourn on this dark world. His words will help light our way today, as they did for the apostles so long ago.

In this momentous meeting, Jesus relays the parable of the four stewards and the talents that they were entrusted to develop - a cautionary tale that holds great advice for moving forward in the work of the Kingdom. Jesus concludes his lesson by saying, "Freely have you received; therefore freely should you give of the truth of heaven, and in the giving will this truth multiply and show forth the increasing light of saving grace, even as you minister it." The least we can do is to try our best to make our Father in Heaven proud of the work we do on behalf of his Kingdom, using the gifts that have been so lavishly bestowed upon us.
One can only imagine the quiet, dark night, the circle of light in that darkness, and the intimate conversation of this touching scene in which Jesus, nearing the end of his own life, offers us an inspiring way of looking at the transience of our world. His words still ring true for us today, as we consider the uncertainties that crowd in upon us in this modern age. Jesus teaches:

Quote:
"The downfall of nations, the crash of empires, the destruction of the unbelieving Jews, the end of an age, even the end of the world, what have these things to do with one who believes this gospel, and who has hid his life in the surety of the eternal kingdom? You who are God-knowing and gospel-believing have already received the assurances of eternal life. Since your lives have been lived in the spirit and for the Father, nothing can be of serious concern to you. Kingdom builders, the accredited citizens of the heavenly worlds, are not to be disturbed by temporal upheavals or perturbed by terrestrial cataclysms. What does it matter to you who believe this gospel of the kingdom if nations overturn, the age ends, or all things visible crash, since you know that your life is the gift of the Son, and that it is eternally secure in the Father? Having lived the temporal life by faith and having yielded the fruits of the spirit as the righteousness of loving service for your fellows, you can confidently look forward to the next step in the eternal career with the same survival faith that has carried you through your first and earthly adventure in sonship with God."

We are thrilled and cheered by this new painting, and we hope you feel the same way. As always, we encourage you to share this inspiring work of art with those who you feel will benefit from it.

We will be writing to you again in the weeks to come; in the meantime, we hope you take the time to have a careful look at this painting, read the story, and absorb this loving advice from the Master.

All the Best!
Sincerely,
The Truthbook Team
