Hallo everyone.

I would like you all to please pray for my situation I am in at the moment. I've been working for the same company for 7years and so also had a position that I was working myself towards for about 6years. Along with my own responsibilities I also developed the other position to its fullest potential taking lots of effort and time and also assisting the lady that’s already in the position, but because she will be retiring in 6years time. Now 6years has passed and I have done her work on and off in that passing time. I have efficient experience in the position and so I applied for the job the moment it become available. But another lady in the office also applied. She is 3years longer at the company than I am, but it didn't faze me for she do not have any experience in the position.

At the end of the day, they chose her for the position.... and to top it all, the manager who had the authority to select a candidate is a friend and a person that knew in detail what I already did and how well I knew the job. My heart is broken.... I am a person that takes my job serious and appreciate it allot, I care for my career and I always give my best and I’m proud to work for the company. But after this whole ordeal it feels as if my spirit is broken and for the first time in 7years I just come to work to earn a pay cheque (like a donkey)

I really want you all to pray for me and to ask the Father for an opportunity at a company that suits me the best and that it will be a company that looks after me and my interests (as far as they can) as I look after them. I have already prayed myself and asked the Father but the more the merrier.

I have also accomplished allot of things at the company where the branch that I am at in order to ask for a raise but they just give a blind eye and ear. Please pray for me that I will also get to work at a company that reward their people where reward is due and who takes their employees life matters in consideration.

Thank you all, I truly appreciate.

Dear Brother,
I am moved with deep compassion towards your ordeal, and I can imagine that it must have been a shock and a deep blow to your built up expectations throughout all this time, especially when the opportunity truly presented itself.

I have been through a similar situation, where I was the ONLY one that could assume the job , and when the person left the job, they even tested me, and everyone was more than impressed and appreciative with the result. The person left, 2 months later, still I wasn't offered the job; in the end, I took action, I simply confronted!!

I asked for a meeting with my manager, and simply asked him about the situation and why he didn't hire me for the job, I even asked him to give me a frank answer if he liked the job or not, he said that indeed I was more than qualified for the job, but , simply and frankly, the position as an employee simply costs too much, and they would prefer hiring short term free lance people for the job instead of paying a monthly income to an employee.

Bottom line is, simply ASK, if the manager is your friend, I am sure he will have a reasonable and an honest answer! I would even share my concerns with him, ask honestly if she was more qualified, and in what sense ,so you can better improve your self or perhaps hone a skill you were not aware off; or maybe it will turn out that she already made a deal with them 7 years ago :) , who knows!! ASK!

As for your request of prayer, I but remind you that prayer is not getting our way, but making god's way, ours...it really is up to us in the end.

Good Luck :), and keep us updated

P1946:2, 180:2.4 But great sorrow later attended the misinterpretation of the Master's inferences regarding prayer. There would have been little difficulty about these teachings if his exact words had been remembered and subsequently truthfully recorded. But as the record was made, believers eventually regarded prayer in Jesus' name as a sort of supreme magic, thinking that they would receive from the Father anything they asked for. For centuries honest souls have continued to wreck their faith against this stumbling block. How long will it take the world of believers to understand that prayer is not a process of getting your way but rather a program of taking God's way, an experience of learning how to recognize and execute the Father's will? It is entirely true that, when your will has been truly aligned with his, you can ask anything conceived by that will-union, and it will be granted. And such a will-union is effected by and through Jesus even as the life of the vine flows into and through the living branches.

Hi Truthfinder,

You probably have found out the truth now that we are living in an imperfect world. I have found that a long time ago. Sometimes, things don't go the way we want. We want things to happen perfectly, the way things should be, the right way. These are all lessons to be learned here on earth. As we ascend to Paradise, things will become more perfect. So, my suggestion is, don't sweat it and accept this fact. Just continue trying to make things more perfect in this world. It will get better.

Dear Kicoverz

Thank you for your honest reply. I really appreciate it. And yes, you are absolutely right about prayer; you said:

"As for your request of prayer, I but remind you that prayer is not getting our way, but making god's way, ours...it really is up to us in the end"

I was not too sure about it at first when I pray, but the Spirit of Truth within my heart guided me gently by adding "Your will be done not mine dear Father" and thank you for just confirming it for me. :) I would just like the Fathers will be done in my life and therefore I believe that He will let the perfect circumstances / job opportunity come my way in order to have a positive effect on my spiritual growth and evolution.

I have asked questions and the answers are more disappointing, so without putting up a fight or anything, I except the fact that "the donkey is dead and let it lie" New opportunities are calling my name and "everything is subject to change, nothing stays the same; only our Father is changeless"

Thank you again for your love and compassion, it helps me to get perspective of things.

Thank you Ysmael for your advice. You are right, I mustn't sweat it too much, and yes, I want things to work out perfect in my life; I can't help it. But yes, I too can't wait for the life hereafter, not that I think it will be easier, no, but just the fact that I'm one step closer to home...
