Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I have had a variety of profound spiritual experiences since I was last able to get onto this forum.

In October of 2010, my wife had a burst aneurysm in her Superior Mesenteric Artery, which is way most often fatal. We were in Fairbanks, Alaska, and the doctors in the ER told her to make peace with God, because she would not survive a flight to Seattle. Right after that, the ONLY man in Fairbanks qualified to do vascular surgery passed through the ER on his day off. He gave us 50/50 odds, and seemed serene and humble. He saved her life. Now I do not use my first name, but rather than distracting people with that, I let them call me Ray. While I was praying, a young Catholic Chaplain approached me, and he was looking for Joe. I knew good and well who had sent him, and no longer felt alone or apprehensive. I felt the peace that only comes when I am totally "right" with God. Those moments are fleeting.

Fast forward to November of 2015, and I had a massive heart attack while sitting in my living room, and was clinically dead for 17 minutes. At the end of that 17 minutes, they got a "shockable rhythm", and my heart started beating again, though I stayed in a coma for three days. Everyone asks "did you see a bright light or anything"? No. there was no conscious elapsed time for me; just total unconsciousness. I got very little brain damage, and much of what happened to my heart was healed while they were looking at it with an ultrasound. They told my wife that they had no rational medical explanation for my condition. And to make a long story short, we now live in Florida, and living the dream, at that.

I am truly blessed, and truly grateful. I just know that there is someone, somewhere I am supposed to help, and until that happens, it is "good old Urantia" for me.

What a great reason to stay alive!

Thanks for these stories of your spiritual experiences... And I hope you and your wife enjoy continued good health!

Best wishes for that moment!

Just checking in. God has continued to bless us immensely, with a beautiful home, and resources with which we can serve when He shows us what to do.
I am 73 years old now, and my body is beginning to show the ravages of time. My current lesson seems to be learning to be cheerful when my plans don't go the way I thought they should.
"Such an adventure on such a planet!"
